Last year I was unable to keep the dogs shots and meds up to date due to moving and getting my insurance ( medical ) straightened out. So now the fun has started. Took Spencer in for a complete checkup and test, along with shots that were needed. Found a very nice Veterinary not far from the park. Happy to say Spencer was pronounced healthy, all test came back negative. Started him back on tick and flea treatment, and heart worm pills. Next stop is the groomers on the 10th. I have been doing his grooming and looking forward to him being done correctly.
Chi will go in next for a full check and test. If all are healthy after all is said and done I will spend about $1500. But then if I can stay on top of things it will not be that much again. Doing it all at the same time for three dogs is just not cheap.. Not be making and large payments on credit cards this month.. But will feel better knowing all is well.

He is doing great, just happy to have his meds back up to date.
Vet care is really expensive. When I hear people in the YHS shelter complain about adoption fees, I tell them this is a very small drop in a big bucket.
So many people think you do not need to have pets taken to a vet..
